The organisation or charity must have a strong local presence in Derry ~Londonderry,
and must contribute to local community life, particularly that of teenagers and youths. Ideally the funding will go towards a new initiative or project that will make a difference
to local teenagers and their community.Applications are welcomed from youth groups, charities and organisations which focus on projects and campaigns, aimed at benefiting teenagers and youths, between the ages of 12 and 18 years in the city.

The chosen charity will receive proceeds from the annual Foyleside Charity fashion event, which takes place in the Millennium Forum on the 3rd October, as well as all proceeds from the Foyleside fountain, situated on Level 2 of the shopping centre. The chosen charity will also be given the opportunity to use the shopping centre as a venue to organise fundraising events for this project.

Des Farrell, Manager of Foyleside Shopping Centre said;

Foyleside has supported a number of charities and worthy causes since opening in 1995 and we are delighted to have played a major role in the tremendously successful 10,001 Santa's appeal last year. Did Derry~Londonderry EVER have a better day ??

He also added;

We have decided that our chosen charity appeal for 2008/2009 should be aimed at doing something for the youth of our city. Our young people have many pressures and needs and we, at Foyleside, would like to do something that will make a difference. We therefore seek proposals and ideas that will really make a significant contribution to those people who are 12 to 18."

All applications must be received by no later than 12 noon on Friday 2nd May 2008.
