Wednesday, 15th November seen the official opening of the Foyleside Customer Service Centre by the Mayor of the city, Helen Quigley, who cut the ribbon to mark the new service available to Foyleside customers.

Des Farrell, Foyleside Centre Manager, is delighted to announce this important addition to the biggest and best shopping centre in Northern Ireland.

The opening of our Customer Service Centre will greatly enhance our ability to fulfil the aspirations of the 10 million shoppers who visit Foyleside each year and to receive feedback from our valued customers.

We will welcome all comments and enquiries, and we will endeavour to respond to these in the best possible way, in the hope of achieving our goals of giving the highest possible standards of customer care, customer satisfaction and friendliness at all times. A considerable amount of time, effort and planning has gone into ensuring that every aspect of this facility is first rate.

Four new jobs have been created by this development within Foyleside and the “state of the art” kiosk will be staffed each day from 10 am to closing time of the shopping centre. It is located in the hub of Foyleside, on level two, between “Birthdays and H.Samuel.

Mr Farrell revealed that one of the main drivers to install the Customer Service Centre was the unbelievable increase in demand for Foyleside Gift Vouchers last Christmas.

“We struggled to cater for the unforeseen rise in the number of people wishing to purchase Foyleside vouchers for Christmas gifts in December last year. The Foyleside vouchers are accepted by all shops in the Centre, including Debenhams. They are proving to be extremely popular with shoppers of all ages and to employers giving them as rewards or bonuses. We will not only have a kiosk and staff dedicated to selling the Foyleside vouchers, but we can also offer the facility for them to be purchased by credit cards and Euros for the first time.”

Other services available to the public will include:- photo-copying (colour/black & white), faxing, tourist information and the booking of walking tours.
