To mark St Patrick’s Day 2022, Foyleside is hosting a ‘Feel Lucky’ event that features some brilliant entertainment and fun prize giveaways.
The celebrations will run from 12-2pm on Thursday, March 17th, with face painting, balloon modelling and glitter tattoos among the activities.
Entertainment will be provided by traditional Irish musicians, plus special performances by the Christina Deery Irish Dance Academy and Galaxy Allstars Studios.
Customers are also in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes, with Foyleside Gift Cards, coffee and discounts from Synge & Byrne, McFlurrys from McDonalds and fries from Supermacs all up for grabs from Foyleside’s Feel Lucky Scratch Cards.
In addition to the St Patrick’s Day festivities, a pot of gold will be stationed in the shopping centre during the course of the event for customers to donate their spare change.
All donations will be in aid of Foyle Hospice, with Foyleside agreeing to match the value of the pot on the day.
Fergal Rafferty, centre manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate St Patrick’s Day once again. After a two-year hiatus, the return of the famous parade is also great news for the city and something we’re very much looking forward to.
“We have a brilliant event lined up at the centre and are excited to invite our customers along to celebrate with us. Shoppers will be able to enjoy some traditional Irish music and dancing, take part in some activities or even win some fantastic prizes.
“Additionally, we are also delighted to announce we’ll be matching all the donations made to Foyle Hospice on St Patrick’s Day. The work they do is tremendous and it’s great that we can support their ongoing efforts. We would like to encourage our all customers to make use of the ‘pot of gold’ and donate whatever you can.”
