To ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all our visitors, Foyleside Shopping Centre operates the following policies:
CONDUCT & BEHAVIOUR
- No Smoking is permitted anywhere inside the shopping centre or within the car parks.
- No Vaping or Use of Electronic Cigarettes is allowed within the centre premises.
- No Loitering – all visitors are expected to shop or access services with purpose.
- No Running, Skateboarding, or Use of Bikes, Scooters or E-Scooters inside the centre.
- Appropriate Dress Code – no hoods up within the centre.
ANIMALS
- No Dogs or Pets are allowed in the centre, except for registered assistance dogs.
- Assistance dogs must be clearly identifiable and covered by appropriate public liability insurance.
- You may be requested to lift any suitable animals into your arms for your duration of the visit.
SECURITY & MONITORING
- CCTV Monitoring is in operation throughout all areas of the centre
- Footage may be used for safety, security, and crime prevention purposes.
FACILITIES
- Our toilets and baby changing areas are cleaned and maintained regularly. Please note these facilities may be attended by both male and female staff.
- Lost Property – enquiries should be directed to our Customer Services Desk on Level 3
ADDITIONAL POLICIES
- Alcohol Consumption is not permitted
- Commercial Activity, including leafleting, busking, or promotional activity, is not permitted without prior written consent from centre management.
- Photography and Filming inside the centre requires authorisation in advance. Casual personal photography is permitted, but must not interfere with other visitors or tenants.
CHILDREN & YOUNG PERSONS
- Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- School groups or youth groups can notify the centre in advance if attending in large numbers.
ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
- Foyleside has a zero tolerance policy toward abusive, threatening, or anti-social behaviour towards staff, customers, or tenants.
- Individuals displaying aggressive behaviour may be asked to leave or reported to the PSNI.
FIRE SAFETY
- In the event of a fire alarm, all visitors must follow staff instructions and evacuate the building promptly.
- Fire exits must be kept clear at all times – do not obstruct them with prams, shopping bags, or personal items.
USE OF ESCALATORS & LIFTS
- Prams, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters must use lifts, not escalators, for safety reasons.
- Children must be accompanied when using lifts or escalators.
UNATTENDED ITEMS
- Unattended bags or parcels may be treated as suspicious and reported to security or the PSNI.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
- The centre has trained staff to deal with emergencies. Follow all public address announcements and instructions in the event of an incident.
